What is Brain Education (BE)?
Brain Education (BE) is an educational program for children, designed to promote health, happiness, peacefulness and achievement. BE aims to develop children’s focus, confidence, emotional regulation, memory and creative efficacy through innovative trainings focused on the brain itself.
The BE program includes physical, emotional and cognitive exercises, as well as postures, breathing techniques, guided imagery and games used to stimulate the healthy, dynamic and productive functioning of the body and brain.
Benefits of BE:
The BE approach is deeply experiential. Children directly participate in exercises designed to improve sensory awareness, motor control, balance, emotional regulation, attention and imagination. Parents commonly report that children become more receptive to information and improve their information-processing skills to reinforce their learning. Changes commonly affect other arenas of school and home life, helping to promote a more engaging and joyful overall life experience.
BE has origins in classical East Asian mind-body training methods, updated and refined with critical insights from neuroscience and other disciplines. BE integrates and applies core understandings about brain, mind and behavior.
